Boo-ffalo Halloween Run
Buffalo held the 5th Boo-ffalo Halloween 5k and fun runs on Saturday October 31st. The 5k started at 12:00 p.m and the fun runs shortly followed. The run was helped out by the Buffalo track and field teams, and lead by Track coaches Scott Palmer, Dave Knutsen, Mary Bremmer, Jason Karn, and Evan Ronken.
There were prizes for the top finishers on the boys and girls 5k. There were also 20 costume awards that went to each age group. There were two fun runs involving the younger children. First one was the half mile, and the second was a quarter of a mile
There were 101 people racing total. About 40 children and 60 adults. This race took a lot of preparation ” I am a teacher assistant for Mrs. Bremmer and she had me organize shirts into their size and fold them during the block,” said Senior Hannah Brecht.
Buffalo High School students finished from all ages. Senior Nick Teetzel finished 2nd overall and Jon and Joshua Wedeiemier finished third and fourth overall. “This was a lot different than the cross country races, it’s not as serious and I had more fun,” said Teetzel.
