Students enjoyed the Homecoming dance on October 2 for the first time in two years, since the 2020 dance was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first time for many students to celebrate and party after over 18 months of isolation and social distancing.
The dance began at 7:00 pm, and lasted until 10:00 pm. Students had to follow a dress code of shirt and pants, excluding jeans, or a dress. People who attended were able to dance around to party songs, or if that wasn’t their style they could watch Ratatouille in the PAC.
“I was having a ton of fun, I’ve been to every dance since middle school,” junior Megan Estrada said. “It felt amazing. We were in a crowded gym, I didn’t have to worry about contracting COVID, because I knew no one there had it. It felt normal.”
