With four main sets of stairs here, one by each grade level, and only eight minute passing periods, the stairs have been fallen on many different times, and on many different occasions. Falling down the stairs has become part of the culture here at our school
It’s even happened to our new coming Freshman already, like Anna Demgen, who has fallen down the stairs at least twice already.
There are many different ways falling up or down the stairs can go about. For example, Kaelie Lund fell on her birthday.
“It was my Freshman year,” said Lund, “and it was my birthday. I was just walking up the stairs, and I was feeling good cause it was my birthday, and my friend had given me a cupcake. I fell, and the cupcake got smashed all over my face, and then I had to go to class with cupcake on my face.”
The school nurse, Stephanie Gleason, gave us a little safety note, which should hopefully help lessen our chances of falling on the stairs.
“It’s safe if you use the hand rails,” said Gleason, “and stay to the right.”
