Another loss for Buffalo’s Comedy Sportz team

On Sunday, March 13th, Buffalo’s CSz team, consisting of Senior Jacob Bastin, Junior Katehrine Campbell, and Freshmen Dez and Mitch lost against Edina by only 3 points, with Buffalo ending with a final score of 16, Edina getting 19. The two teams competed in the Comedy Sportz Theater on Sunday.

The competition started with Buffalo team captain Jacob and Edina team captain Kevin shaking hands and choosing “4 Rooms” as the first and only head to head game they would play, which Edina won, netting them 5 points. Head to head games are played with both teams, and the team that gets the most laughs from the audience wins.

The 1st set of scene games were “Teen Melodrama”, played by Edina, and “New Choice”, played by Buffalo, and were judged against each other on the basis of which made the audience laugh more.

Buffalo won the first round of scene games, netting them 5 points.The 2nd set of scene games were “Advice Panel”, played by Edina, and “Blind Line”, played by Buffalo. Edina won the second set of scene games, so another 5 points were added to their score.

The end round game was decided to be “Dear Diary”. In end round games, both teams play and each time a team makes the audience laugh, they get a point. Edina earned 9 points in this game, and Buffalo came back with 11 points, putting them just short of winning. The final score was 16 to 19, in favor of Edina.
