#1 Seeded Boys Soccer Takes Round One Sections Win

The victory was the Bison's first section win in over a decade.

The top-seeded Bison Boys Soccer Team dominated Sauk Rapids in the first game of the Section Tournament on Thursday night, with the final score being 3-0. The win marked the team’s first Section win in over a decade.

They walked into the home field confident that they would be walking off the field with winning their first section game.

The game was tied 0-0 at half-time, but they never brought their energy down.

“But I feel like we’re a pretty confident team that can bounce back,” said Noah Leimer ‘25. “We knew that we were better than we just had to show it.”

Their next section game is on Tuesday, against Elk River. The teams played earlier in the season in a game that ended in a tie.

“We are hoping to have a bounce back,” Noah Leimer ‘25 explained. “Because when we played in the season, we tied them 3-3, so we are looking to beat them.”
