Music Listening Takes Third in State

Last Friday took third place at the Minnesota State Music Listening competition, with a score of 83 points. Pine Island took first place with 85 points, beating Buffalo by 2 points. Montevideo took second place with 84 points.

Representing buffalo at the state Music Listening competition were Seniors Anna Huff, Sam Bergstrom, and Elizabeth Thompson.

Buffalo had been in the top two teams at the competition until the last round, when Montevideo pulled into second during the last round.

“Going into the contest, I thought Buffalo had the trophy in its hands,” said senior Jonathon Hank. “I was honestly surprised when they didn’t make it into the College Bowl round.”

The College Bowl round is a tie breaker round between the top two teams to determine a winner.

This is Buffalo’s 14th state Music Listening appearance.
