Top 10 most wanted cafeteria foods for 2011-2012

At Buffalo High School down in the cafeteria there are many variety of foods. Ranging from Pizzato ice cream and different kinds of cookies.

Many students are pleased with the choices that they have everyday, but they would also like more variety in the choices that they are given.

“After awhile having the same choices every week, varying from lunches, chips, and drinks, it gets old,” Said Junior Cyrina Fehn. “We do have many choices, but not a ton of different variety, I’d like to see more of that more often. The smoothies were a great addition, but they are also very expensive. I wish we would add new items like that more often, varying in price, size, and variety.”

Out of 50 students surveryed around BHS, the top ten came from the survey results.
Listed in order from most wanted to least wanted, (some were tied with multiples):

1. Fresher fruit with more variety

2. Cheese Curds

3. Slushies and cake

4. Tator Tots

5. Crescent rolls, Onion rings, Fettuchini Alfredo, and fresher vegtables with more variety.

6. Fried Chicken

7. Deep fried fries

8. Popcorn Machine and lasagna

9. Steak

10. Wontons

Other students suggested:Hot wings, Sloppy Joes, Apple Crisp, Chinese food on occasion, Cotton Candy Candy, suckers, and snicker bars.

“I believe that if th students had more choices, they wouldn’t bring their own bagged lunch all the time,” said  Junior Ashley Ditty. “I get sick of the choices, but I feel like if we had more lunch choices every week I would look forward to it much more.”
