Shoe drive, making a difference one shoe at a time.

GMSA is hosting a shoe drive, Monday March 7th through Friday March 25th and will be accepting any and all kinds of shoes. All of the donations will be going to Making a Difference International Inc.

Making a Difference International Inc. is an organization that donates solid, used shoes to the people in Africa. This organization is especially in need of boy’s and men’s shoes. Last year, with the help of St. Michael High School M.D.I. was able to send over 20,000 pairs of shoes to Africa.  This year STMA and Monticello will participate in the drive as well.

“I’m really excited to be part of a fundraiser in which anyone can participate. It’s also exciting to me that the recipients will receive a lasting and immediate benefit,” said GMSA leader Katherine Kunz.

There will be a drawing every Friday, one pair of shoes will equal one raffle ticket. The first week March 11th the prize will be $15 to Target, second week will be $25 to Target, and the final week will be $40 to Target.
