The Arts Magnet committee is putting on an Open Mic Night next Thursday (January 20, 2011) from 2:30pm- 4:30pm in the Black Box (Room A218).
No admission fee, no sign up sheets, no audtions, and everyone is invited, to watch and/or preform. Anyone can have the floor; musicians, poets, dancers, DJ’s, actors, storytellers and anything in the middle.
“It’s a chance for all preformers to come together, preform and have fun!” says Reese Beggs, President of the Arts Magnet Committee. “We do it for all the preformers so that they get a chance to get to be infront of an audience.”
They have done this previous years, but this is the first time this school year, and their hoping for an even bigger turn out than last year.
“Come have fun, and bring your friends,” Beggs said.
