COVID-19 costs Boys Basketball two games

Chanhassen and Benilde cancel games versus Buffalo due to health precautions

On Friday, March 5, head coach Josh Ortmann was given news that their games against Chanhassen (originally Monday, March 8th) and Benilde St. Margaret (originally Thursday, March 11th) were cancelled due to the teams having to take COVID-19 precautions.

“Benilde and Chanhassen had COVID-related issues come up and need to take precautions. They are currently undergoing a 10-day quarantine.” Ortmann said in regards to the games.

Post from March 5th on the team’s official Twitter regarding the current situation

Ortmann and other members of the coaching staff are currently in search of a replacement game to play from March 8th through March 11th.

“We are currently looking into scheduling a game in place of the games cancelled. We are pretty early into the process so we are finding any willing team that would want to play.” Ortmann said.

If they are unable to find a game during that span the team’s next game will be on Saturday, March 13th against Waconia. The Varsity game is at home and tip off will be at 2:30 pm.
