Baseball wins their last game of the regular season

The Bison beat the Becker Bulldogs on Tuesday night  11-0 win. The game was over after the 5th inning because Buffalo 10-runned them; the first time this has happened this season.

“We were all on fire and pumped up before the game,” said Sophomore Brennan Gilyard.

Senior Brett Renshaw started the game off in the first inning by hitting a batter in to score. Following him, sophomore Jason Senger hit a double brining the score 4-0 in the second inning. Renshaw then hit a triple, bringing another runner in at the bottom of the second inning. The game continued on this way with almost every batter making it back to home plate to score. After the 5th inning, the Bison had score 11 and the Bulldogs had not scored at all.

“We started the game off strong and that is how we finished it,” said Senior Cody Elletson, “It was the best game to end the season on.”

The Bison advance into the sections games starting Saturday.

“We have high hopes to do well in sections,” said Senior Brian Holthaus, “If we continue to play like we have been, we could make it to state.”

Buffalo’s first section game will be against Prior Lake on Saturday at Bentfiled Mills at 3:30 p.m.
