GMSA makes blankets for the homeless

Globally Minded Student Activists (GMSA) students made 28 fleece tie blankeys for People Serving People (PSP) over the month of February. PSP is a transition living organization based in Minneapolis to help people get back on their feet.

About 11 members participated in making the blankets to help out the less fortunate.

“I enjoy doing crafts and I thought that making fleece blankets would be a fun, relaxing project,” said Senior Michelle Hansmann. “Even though it’s something easy to participate in, you’re making a contribution to those in need.”

GMSA is currently hosting a shoe drive, which will benefit people in Africa through an organization called Making the Difference International. The drive will continue until March 25, and anyone can contribute by bringing shoes to the cafeteria by the student parking lot.
