Boys’ Golf completes conference season

The Buffalo Bison Boys’ golf team finished out their conference season strongly on Tuesday, May 24.

The Boys’ finished their season at Riverwood National Golf Course, shooting a solid team score of 308 and taking third at the meet. Roger’s placed first with a team score of 291 and St. Michael-Albertville took second with a score of 304. With Buffalo’s third place finish, they clinched second overall this year in the Mississippi 8 Conference, behind only Rogers.

Leading the Bison’s 308 and tying for second overall was Senior Alex Holtan with a round of 72. Junior Dan Bollant shot 77, Freshman Hunter Bruhn added a 78, and Senior Morgan Lubben contributed with a round of 81. Also playing for the Bison were Junior Tommy Olson with a round of 82, and 8th grader Gunnar Goodmanson shot 83.

Rogers’ McCabe Buege was the match medalist with a round of four under par, 68.

The match concluded conference play and solidified the all conference golfer’s for this year. Junior Dan Bollant finished fourth in the conference, while Senior Alex Holtan finished 6th in the conference. Senior Morgan Lubben finished in a tie for 14th place, missing all conference honors by one position.

The Bison will compete in sections on Wednesday, June 1 and Thurdsay, June 2 at Greystone Golf Club in Sauk Centre.
