Bollant medals, heads to state. Girls place fourth

The Buffalo Bison Girls Golf team played in their section tournament on Thursday, June 2 and Friday, June 3 at Long Prairie Country Club In Long Prairie.

After the first day, freshman Lexi Bollant found herself two strokes back after shooting an 85. The team was in a tie for fourth place.

The second day proved to be an even tougher scoring day with the wind and rain, but Bollant fired a field low 86, giving her a two day total of 171 and the low score of the tournament. second place went to Katie Kruchten of St. Cloud Apollo with a two day total of 173.

St. Cloud Apollo won the tournament with a two day total of 722, Buffalo finished fourth with a total of 749.

Bollant will head to the state tournament at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids on June 14 and 15.
