The basketball team won by almost 30 points against Monticello 74 to 45 on Feb. 18th. Senior Levi Bean lead the team with 17 points. Having one game left of the regular season, the team is 20-5(7-0 in conference).
“Things have been rolling really good and I’m looking forward to the postseason. The boys have all been working really hard and that’s showing on the court,” said Coach Nick Guida.
Practices are where they have become this good, but, no one knows how much work they put in to have the basketball team be a great team year after year.
“Practices in the start of the season are harder and longer then now in the later part the season; they are more focused on fundamentals,” said Junior Cory Theilman.
Friday night is the basketball team’s last regular season game. St. Francis is there competitor who they faced already this season at home and won 79 to 65 so the Saints are looking for revenge.
After finishing up the regular season on Friday, they will start off the postseason on Tuesday with home court advantage.
