Students take Summer trip to Spain

This summer, Spanish Students from Buffalo High School are taking a once-in-a-life-time chance, trip to Spain.  Señora nancy Eiynck and Señor Daryl Boeckers are taking 17 students in 10-12th grade to Spain in June.  The trip costs $3,000, but is well worth the money.  They will tour Spain, exploring the culture, eating the food, and learning to interact using a different language.

For the first part of the trip, the students will be doing a home-stay, in which they will stay with a family in Spain all by themselves, and are only allowed to speak Spanish.  It will be an opportunity for the students to improve their language skills and communication.

The group leaves on June 14, and come back 10 days later on June 24.  This is both Eiycnk’s and Boecker’s second time taking students to Spain.

“I am super pumped.  It’s so fun to watch the kids and especially because its their first time going,” said Eiynck.

Students are also excited to go on the trip.  It is a chance for them to explore a new culture, and work on communication, especially with people whose first language is Spanish.

“I am so excited.  It’s going to be a new experience to use my Spanish speaking abilities,” said Sophomore Amanda Letsinger.
