BHS alumni makes return to home rink

The Buffalo civic center hosted its first ever Junior hockey game last  Sunday, March 13th. The game featured BHS Alumni Josh Gaughan playing for the Alexandria Blizzard. They played against the Austin Bruins, with the Blizzard coming away with the victory beating the Bruins 7-2.

The game was not just any game for Gaughan, it was another chance to shine on his home town rink and that he did. Gaughan started the game with a spot light entrance and did not disappoint his home town crowd and former high school teammates. Gaughan scored with 4:03 left in the second period and the crowd went wild.

“It was really cool to see Gaughan score and play again” said senior Morgan Lubben. “It was just like old times watching him play for the Bison.”

Josh Gaughan has played in 49 games and has six goals and seven assists giving him 13 points for the season, helping the Blizzard attain a record of  30-19, while clinching a play-off berth and placing third in their conference.
