This year’s Varsity baseball team has been struggling early in the season with a record of one win and three losses.

Their first game was held on April 4th against the Skippers, a difficult team from Minnetonka. The scores were consistant for the duration of the event, but ultimately the Bison lost by two runs after scoring four of their own.

The Bison’s first win was against Zimmerman only seven days later with a whopping final score of 8-1. The win was generally anticipated by the majority of the team.

“Zimmerman has never been a really tough team to beat, defense isn’t their strong suit,” said Senior Casey Druar.

On Friday, April 10th the team played their annual game against Luverne in the Minneapolis Metrodome. Buffalo started the game off strong but quickly had it turn over to Luverne’s favor with a score of 4-3.

Despite three losses the Bison still hope to wind up on top this season with a positive win record. With over 20 games remaining in the season, optimism remains high in reclaiming thier pride on the field. The next game is against Becker on Monday, April 20 6:30PM at home.
