Buffalo Swimmers hosts JV championship, season ends with success

Swimmers step up, take your marks, GOOOOOOO. And they’re off. On Thursday night, Buffalo hosted 5 Teams at the JV championships. Teams that were involved were Cambridge-Isanti, Monticello, Princeton, St. Michael, and Buffalo.

They hosted this championship for those who didn’t make it to sections. Overall the Buffalo’s JV team fell short a few points and got 2nd overall. Cambridge won the meet.

The meet started off very well. Buffalo’s A Medley Relay team got 1st place in the 1st event with a time of 2:02.89. They dropped 11 seconds, which was awesome. The A relay included: Dustin Green, Micheal Raitor, Jon Cesarek, and Zachary Phillips.

Buffalo’s B relay team came in third with a time of 2:13.93; they also dropped time as well.

Other events included the 200 freestyle where Buffalo’s Brandon Morain won the event with a time of 2:19.69. Jon Cesarek won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:05.94. And Micheal Raitor got 3rd in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:18.63, where he dropped over a second.

The Junior Varsity season has ended with success. But now the Buffalo’s Varsity is prepping up for sections in Alexandria which is held on February 25th and 26th. Listen for more updates on the boys swim team after sections.
