Burglary In Monticello

Silent alarm went off in a  Smoke Shop on Feb. 7 at 5:10 a.m. in Monticello. It led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man from Minneapolis on burglary charges.

Wright County Sherrif’s recieved a report of a silent alarm 1200 block Highway 25. Deputies that arrived at the scene noticed the back door was not secured. Inside they had noticed a large hole cut in the sheetrock. While inside they heard disturbance inside of the building and saw a male run out of an adjacent exterior door. A chase ensued, the suspect was then later captured in an open field. The suspect was identified as Carlos Abriham. Abriham had left behind a bag that had stolen merchandise from the Smoke Shop and burglary tools inside.

Abriham was booked in jail on the cause of secondary-degree burglary charges.
