Students Prepare to sacrifice Social Life for MW3

Last night at midnight, Junior Vaughn Jundt joined the crowd lining the streets in anticipation of the release of one game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

“I haven’t slept for days,” said Jundt. “I’m to excited for MW3.”

He, like many other people, have been eagerly awaiting the release of this first person shooter game. Its predecessor, MW2, was released two years ago and sold over 4.7 million copies worldwide in the first 24 hours. It has been predicted that MW3 will sell even more.

“My parents agreed to take me tonight,” said Junior Nathaniel Aiyawar. “Unfortunately They wouldn’t let me stay home from school, even though they have before in the previous years.”

With a three day weekend ahead, many students are getting prepared for the break. Mountain Dew and Doritos have been very popular lately because, with the purchase of these products, players of MW3 will receive double XP [experience points] which allows them to level up faster in the game.

“In preparation I purchased six 12 packs of Mountain Dew and filled my cupboards with Doritos, so that way I will be set for the upcoming weekend,” said Aiyawar. “I don’t plan to leave the house.”
