Boys Lacrosse Season Preview

The boys lacrosse team is looking to make some noise this year, and hope to make it to state. According to Senior Max Hershley “I think our goal for the season is to win state, and I think it can be achieved.” The boys have had a rough going to the program in which they were never able to get past the first round of sections.

Last year the boys  had to play in a tough section and lost in the first round to Wayzata. This year they are not only looking to play well in sections but also in conference. “A good team goal is to win conference this year,” said Senior Brady Hartman. The past few years Delano has won the conference but this year Buffalo is going to have up against a tough Rogers team.

Senior Tommy Gaughan has high expectations for this years team “If we don’t win state this season will be a bust,” stated Gaughan, “ We have a talented team with a lot of ambition, but I think if our defense steps up we have a shot at state.” Gaughan who was near top of the state in forced turnovers last year aims to be top in the state this year.

The Bison have a team with a senior heavy roster, meaning this is the last chance to complete their goals of a state appearance. “If we don’t at least make it to state it’ll be a bust,” stated Gaughan. The team will be playing against a tough section again this year if they can beat Wayzata in sections they have what it takes to get to state.
The Bison will face off against Monticello on April 19 at Monticello High School.
