Results are in: Levy Renewal Passes

Voters in Montrose, Hanover, and Buffalo community approved the levy, and has maintained 2.7million dollars for the school. Renewing the levy will prevent $2.6 million in budget reductions for the 2013-14 school year. The new term will be in effect January 1,2012.

“Now that the levy has passed, it’s going to allow the school to make more decisions with schools cost and funding cause we know there’s more stable stability. I’m happy the community showed they truly care about the education for the students is valued.” said Joe Pokorney.

A school board election was also taken yesterday and the four candidates who were elected were Melissa Brings, Sue Lee, Patti Pokorney, and Laurie Raymond.
