JV Boys Tennis

The boys JV tennis season is almost over. With only two weeks left thirteen boys head off to Litchfield for a match on Friday May 14. This season has brought many new players to the JV team.  Junior Nic Berhands is playing this season for his first year along with a few others. Nic says “I’m going to try out next year because it is fun to play and hang out with everyone!” All the boys really like the environment. Junior Andrew Sandahl says “Yeah they are really good, nice people that i am always comfortable around!”

This team is like family and they connect really well. The team looks forward to next year! Hopefully they can make another good impression like they did this year, maybe better. Next year they will be taking over as sophomores, juniors and seniors so they will need to work hard and make a great environment for the freshman that want to join tennis, they will have to be good role models.

Many of the players should set their goals on state next year, as long as they work hard and persevere they can make it, putting in practice could easily move them further in life. Maybe even earn a scholarship for college?

Due to weather conditions a few of the boys matches and practices have been canceled or postponed. The boys last matches are on Tuesday, May 18 away against Elk River High School and Thursday, May 20 home against Saint Francis.
